Lookout Pass Ski Area - Season Pass Protection Program - New for winter 2025-26
Cost $50/Season Pass

Life is a four-letter word for a reason, there are many unforeseen circumstances that come up each year. For those unforeseen circumstances, accidents, or life changes that could occur, Lookout Pass Ski Area (“LPSA”) provides some protection for your pass product in the form of the “Pass Protection Program”.

For purposes of this Program “Season Pass Products” are those products that allow for unlimited access to LPSA on a seasonal basis and consist of:

  • Adult
  • College
  • Senior
  • Mid-week
  • Military
  • Youth
  • 6 and under
  • Elite Senior
  • Adult, Senior, and Youth MAX

Qualifying Incidents:

1. Injury or Sickness such that the Passholder can no longer ski or snowboard for the remainder of the season, or the death of a participating Passholder. For the Pass Protection Program: i) “Injury” means a bodily injury, caused by an accident and resulting directly and independently of all other causes, and which requires treatment by a Doctor; ii) “Sickness” means an illness, disease, or injury, which requires treatment by a Doctor; and iii) “Doctor” means a licensed medical practitioner, acting within the scope of his or her license, which person may not be the Reserving Guest, Family Member, or Traveling Companion.

2. Injury or Sickness of the Passholder’s spouse, domestic partner, child, spouse’s child, domestic partner’s child, brother, sister, mother, father, grandparents, grandchild, stepbrother, stepsister, stepparents, or parents-in-law, which requires the Passholder to become the primary care giver of that person, and which prevents the Passholder from using their Pass Product.

3. Passholder is involuntary relocated by an employer-initiated decision (defined below). Passholder must have been an active employee for the same employer for at least one year prior to purchasing the Pass Product and the Pass Protection Program. Job separation must occur following the effective date of coverage. Coverage is not applicable to temporary employment, independent contractors, or self-employed people. Relocation of Passholder’s primary residence must be at least 200 miles further in distance from the Resort via road than Passholder’s primary residence at time of purchase (as determined by a Google Maps search).

4. Passholder is called to active military service, or military leave is revoked or reassigned.

5. Passholder has a pregnancy, complication of pregnancy, or childbirth. Pregnancy, complication of pregnancy or childbirth must occur after the Passholder’s effective date of coverage. This is a qualifying event for the pregnant Passholder only - dependents of the Passholder do not qualify for reimbursement.

2025/2026 Season, “Date of Claim Deadlines” will be applied to all pass credit requests.

Date of Claim Max Reimbursement

On or Prior to Nov. 31st 100%

If unused on or Prior to Dec. 31st 75%

On or Prior to Jan. 31st 50%

On or Prior to Feb. 28th 25%

NO CLAIMS ACCEPTED AFTER March 1st, 2026

The credit amount is calculated using the following formula:
(Pass Purchase Price) x (Date of Claim Deadline) = Credit amount

Example: Season Pass Holder must relocate to Virginia for work. The pass was purchased for $699. The claim was submitted before the December claim deadline so the reimbursement would be 75% of $699 or $524.25.
