Known for its welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and challenging terrain for seasoned skiers and riders, Lookout Pass offers something for every level of adventurer. With 1,023 skiable acres, 59 trails, a 1,650 ft vertical drop, 3 terrain parks, gladed tree runs, and over 450 inches of snowfall each year, Lookout Pass consistently delivers some of the lightest and deepest powder in the region.

Find answers to common questions about your visit to our ski resort.

What time does the chairlift open?

9am on chair one, mid-week & non-holiday. 8:30am on most weekends & holiday periods.

Can I park my RV in the parking lot over night?

Yes, in the lower lot (not the upper lot). Park on the left side (not the side closest to the Highway). Make sure you are parking past the Bottom of the Peak 1 Quad. Please follow directions from our parking lot attendants.

Are you part of the powder alliance?

No, not at this time.

Can I sign my kid up for Free Ski School?

YES for ages 7 to 17 by going to the Free Ski School website link under the Lessons page on the Lookout website. Lookout Pass does not operate the FSS, they are an independent volunteer run organization. Lookout Pass does offer group and private lessons for guests. There is a cost for these lessons. Please see the Lessons tab on our website.

Do you have a magic carpet?

No, we have a beginner hill which is similar, and is serviced by a triple chairlift so the instructor or a parent can ride with the person learning to ski or snowboard. This lift is also lower in height so as not to be intimidating.

How do I sign up for Group or Private Lessons or Programs?

Go to the Lessons page of our website and make a lesson reservation. There are a number of programs available, including a Learn to Ski or Snowboard 1, or better yet, 3-day program, as well as more advanced group or private lesson programs.

I have a season pass, do I get a buddy pass with that or what benefits do I get?

No, we do not offer an anytime buddy use pass. Do look for the benefits we offer our Season Pass holders on the bottom of the Season Passes page or under the Benefits page on our website. We also host a number of Season Passholder special events, so check those out on our Events page.
