Lookout Pass Ski & Recreation Area is committed to providing persons with qualifying disabilities the full and equal enjoyment of its goods, services, facilities, privileges, advantages and accommodations. Lookout Pass recognizes that no policy can address every possible scenario which may arise, or every individual's specific needs. Lookout Pass allows the use of adaptive devices or other manually-powered mobility aids designed and manufactured primarily for use by individuals who have disabilities, including without limitation, mono-skis, bi-skis, outriggers, sit-skis and ski-bikes. If your preferred device is not listed, please contact us. We're happy to help but due to limited staff and ski lift code regulations, we would request that any person seeking an exception or modification to the above policy contact us seven (7) days prior to the date of your arrival. Contact may be made by calling 208.744.1234 or email to Info@SkiLookout.com.
Our rental facility does not stock such devices.
Lookout Pass has determined that the use of any power-driven devices or vehicles by the general public, including other power-mobility devices used by individuals with mobility disabilities, would conflict with ski area safety requirements necessary for the reasonably safe operation of our on-slope activities. These safety concerns include the use of devices on the slopes that expose the user and skiers/snowboarders to a safety hazard; collisions with downhill skiers and snowboarders; and the use of devices that may provide access into closed areas that pose avalanche hazards. These safety concerns are compounded by our facility's high volume trail use. These safety requirements are based on actual risks and are not intended to be discriminatory in any way.
For your convenience, there are designated parking spaces next to the steps that lead to the base lodge. All services in our lodge are available on the main level which is accessed only by staircase during the winter season. Ask any Lookout Pass staff member for assistance when needed.
There is a road accessed handicap ramp on the uphill, north side of the base lodge with adjacent parking that is available during our summer season.
