AVALANCHE BEACON TRAINING PARK has moved - you'll find it located in the trees between the top of Rolling Thunder & Hoot Owl. There is a box where you can turn your beacons on and off. Use your beacon to test your ability to quickly find a test beacon simulating a person lost in an avalanche. DO NOT dig up any of the beacons as they are in permanent locations and are there for location testing only.

January 29th - Snow Immersion Suffocation & How to use the Avalanche Beacon Park Training session.

Patrollers will start to educate guests outside the Ski Patrol Shack. Then guests can move down the slope to test their skills in the Beacon Par. All participants will receive a FREE Safety whistle.

Patrollers will be working The Avalanche Beacon Training Park from 10 am - noon. Patrol will be there to help guests learn how beacons work, and how to use the beacon park, and other related questions.
