Terrain Park Supervisor/Head Builder
Full-Time, Year Around
The Terrain Park Supervisor/Builder will oversee daily maintenance of the terrain parks. Has good public relations. Sets a good example of terrain park etiquette at all times. Keeps track of and maintains tools and equipment (rakes, shovels, drills, radios, etc) Inspects and tests features within the terrain parks to ensure all features are free of damage and to determine if snow maintenance is required. Communicates with the Mountain Manager and Grooming Supervisor to go over daily plans and events. Summer responsibilities would be in out downhill mountain bike trails as a supervisor and lead builder.
Qualifications:
· Minimum two years’ experience working in terrain parks
· Must have freestyle terrain skiing/riding experience
· Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis
· Ability to safely ski or snowboard in adverse conditions and on steep terrain, including freestyle terrain
· Auditory and visual awareness to operate computers, phones, mobile devices and basic office equipment on an occasional basis
· Ability to work out side in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures
Vehicle Shop Supervisor
Full-Time, Year Around
The Vehicle Shop Supervisor is directly responsible for the maintenance and performance,
troubleshooting and repair of all rolling stock, including the Company’s light trucks, loaders,
track vehicles (snow cats), busses and ATV’s. Also, may assist with Lift Maintenance stand by
motors. This is a hands-on position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Manage workflow, create schedules and prioritize tasks.
- Ensure performance standards are met by organizing and monitoring work processes.
- Conduct training when needed.
- Created and maintain a healthy work environment.
- Maintain and manage fuel inventory and order and keep appropriate parts and supplies.
- Work in coordination with other department supervisors.
- Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Develop and maintain effective relationships with the Lookout Pass management team.
- Actively participate in strategizing repair, maintain or replace equipment
- Maintain excellent relationships with vendors and sponsors associated with the
company.
- Must have the ability to properly diagnose and repair diesel engines, gas engines and
hydrostatic systems.
- Must have the ability to properly diagnose electrical systems and follow schematics.
- Must be familiar and competent with metal weldment processes including ARC, MIG,
Brazing and Soldering, and metal cutting processes including Oxy Acetylene torch.
- Must understand safety management.
- Must possess a comprehensive set of hand pneumatic tools.
- Must be self-motivated and organized
- Must be willing to work weekend or holidays as needed and be flexible
Supervisory Duties:
- Hire, train, review, and discipline employees.
- Motivate and develop staff
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid/clean driver’s license.
- Prior verifiable experience as a mechanic.
Building & Facilities Maintenance Assistant
Full-Time, Year Around
This is a skilled position. This person is responsible for overseeing building and outside maintenance projects in carpentry, plumbing, basic electrical, and basic grounds keeping/snow removal. This role may at time be required to manage a small crew and work with contractors. This position work under the Director of Maintenance and Development.
Qualifications:
· Minimum two years’ experience working in a similar field
· Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis, and a minimum of 20 pounds on a frequent basis
· Basic carpentry, plumbing, electrical knowledge
· Willingness to learn new skills
· Organized
· Ability to work outside and work a flexible schedule
· MUST have a valid Driver’s License and be willing to operate equipment like plow trucks
Experienced Lift Mechanic/Assistant Supervisor
Full-Time, Year Around
Lift Mechanic responsible for helping the Lift Supervisor with all required lift maintenance and tests and certification as well a problem solves and trouble shot issues during operations. Responsible for training lift operators. Industrial electrical knowledge. Maintain all safety standards and guide others in those practices. Be comfortable working on elevated platforms and towers. Coordinates with Lift Supervisor, and Operations Managers works with Management to coordinate projects. Answers to GM
Qualifications:
· Minimum two years’ experience working as a lift mechanic, work on towers and be comfortable at heights
· Able to lift, carry, or otherwise move and position a minimum of 60 pounds on an occasional basis
· Ability to manage daily and long term projects and direct a crew to accomplish goals.
· Ability to work out side in ANY AND ALL weather conditions, including but not limited to rain, snow, sleet, high winds, and cold temperatures
· Flexible schedule, but will need to work holidays and weekends in season.
RENTAL SHOP Department SUPERVISOR
Job Description
Full time/Year round
Rental Shop Supervisor oversees a large rental operation, maintenance of equipment and testing, supervising staff, maintaining equipment safety standards and protocols. Provides guest services related to the proper selection, fitting, renting, and selling of a variety of winter sports equipment, bikes, and accessories. Manages functions related to maintaining efficient and high-quality shop operations, ordering, and training and scheduling staff and overseeing rental equipment fleet. Must work well with reservations and have strong communications. Our Summer Operation is the Route of the Hiawatha Bike Trail.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned):
- Have the desire to get new skiers/riders into the proper equipment.
- Fit Boots, Skis, Snowboards and/or Bikes to guest satisfaction
- Ensure guests are well-equipped for a day on the mountain/trail.
- Demonstrate proper knowledge of company cash handling policies and procedure.
- Arrive on time, with proper, clean uniform and appearance.
- Lead team to successful days and maintain/boost crew morale.
- Maintain rental fleet and inventory.
- Assist with tracking equipment and inventory regularly.
- Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Strong customer service skills.
- English fluency - required.
- Friendly, personable, and comfortable working with people.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule; including some nights and weekends - required.
- Experience with rental POS systems - preferred.
- Passion for the snowsports industry – preferred.

Marketing Assistant: Events and Sales Coordinator
Responsibilities:
- Plan and execute winter events at Lookout Pass Ski Area, including ski festivals, snowboarding competitions, and après-ski gatherings.
- Coordinate logistics for winter events, ensuring a seamless experience for guests and participants.
- Work closely with the sales team to develop and promote ski packages, season passes, and other winter offerings. Participate in group and corporate sales outreach.
- Transition seamlessly into the summer season by supporting sales initiatives for the historic Route of the Hiawatha rail-to-trail adventure.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop promotional packages for biking, hiking, and scenic trail experiences.
- Create engaging content highlighting the beauty and historical significance of the Route of the Hiawatha.
- Create and market events on the Hiawatha trail. ie: bell day, night rides
- Manage social media channels to showcase both winter and summer activities, fostering a year-round community of enthusiasts.
- Develop engaging content, including updates on snow conditions, summer trail conditions, and user-generated content.
- Encourage online community participation and sharing of memorable experiences.
- Generate captivating content for the resort's website, blog, and email campaigns, showcasing the unique offerings of both winter and summer seasons.
- Collaborate with photographers and videographers to capture stunning visuals of Lookout Pass Ski Area and the Route of the Hiawatha.
- Highlight seasonal events, trail features, and historical aspects in marketing materials.
- Utilize analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of events, sales campaigns, and social media engagement throughout the year.
- Prepare comprehensive reports on seasonal performance, visitor demographics, event attendance, and social media metrics.
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Hospitality, or a related field.
- Previous experience in event coordination, preferably in the ski or outdoor recreation industry.
