Avalanche Beacon Training Park
AVALANCHE BEACON TRAINING PARK – You’ll find this setup located in the trees between the top of Rolling Thunder & Hoot Owl. There is a box where you can turn the test beacons on and off. Use your beacon to test your ability to quickly find a test beacon (simulating a person lost under the snow following an avalanche).
DO NOT dig up any of the beacons – They are in permanent locations and are there for location testing only.
How to use the Avalanche Beacon Park.
We strongly suggest all guests watch “How to use a Beacon Training Park”, a video by BCA
After reviewing, guests can then move down the slope to test their skills in the Beacon Park.
